Helecopters equipped with water buckets pass by each other near a station just East of the small hamlet of Hillcrest as hundreds of firefighters and dozens of aircraft work to suppress a massive forest fire in the Crowsnest Pass area. Although the community remains on a one-hour alert notice, the fire threat to their small hamlet has diminished somewhat as the wildfires have shifted their movement in a Southwesterly direction.
