Pat Mountford, a 30-year resident of Blairmore, Alberta, packs up her car in anticipation of an evacuation notice as a massive forest fire gets closer and closer to her home in the Crowsnest Pass area. Although several communities are still on evacuation notice, the fire threat has diminished somewhat (at present time) as the fires move in a southwesterly direction away from populated areas.
